Haha, 2:26 - you won't find a Mk5 Golf on the planet with original arms that doesn't have a seized bolt. And the bolt is seized into a rubber bush aluminium sleeve so it's a world of pain to get out, usually involving an air saw and a lot of swearing.
Excellent tutorial guys, got all the info I need to carry out this job on my Audi A3, same platform pretty much so the job is the same from start to finish 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hello. A superb and professional tutorial. All the videos I've watched, you even put the screw tightening values, which is very professional. I would like to find mechanics like you to fix my car. My question is: After changing the suspension arm, must the rear wheels be aligned? thank you
I'm just replacing all rear bushes on my vw passat Rline so its easy just to replace new parts ie lower arms etc.....😊... But I'm upgrading all bushes & few bolts as it all original old parts its 10 years old..now 😎

Hi, i have one question. Before one month i changed my rear suspension, and i noticed that the car is sitting too high in the back compared to the front. Same springs just changed the suspension. Any idea, any help how can i fix that? My car: Golf Mk5 2006!
In general, the replacement will be similar, the only thing may be slightly different is the design features of your car. More detailed information can be found in the technical documentation for repairing your car or visit the car service.
I live in UK and I own an Passat 2008. B6 and guys almost every single bolt from rear suspension is sized due the corrosion. I never seen that bad even when I've changed the suspension to seat Leon 52 reg.. Horrible.
In order to install it in the same position and after replacing the car could correctly drive to the stand under its own power and make an alignment adjustment
Thank you for your feedback! It is almost impossible to adjust the position of the wheels in a garage without a proper stand and to do this properly we highly recommend to use a professional car workshop. Stay home and stay tuned with us! Best regards, Autodoc team!
Voice over is REALLY annoying, please stop. I noticed you didn't change the bush in the wheel bearing housing. Is this something that you would recommend doing and how would you DIY this? thank you.
Not really you get it as cl9se as you can then take it for 4 wheel alignment , your way is have it totally out so you have no tyres left when get there! Always mark!

Fighting with my Tiguan control arm right now. OMG. The damned bolt will NOT come out. Yeah, there's swearing...
I just pulled out the grinder today , problem solved....
@@Champ54 I ended up doing the same. Then took it to a local shop who pushed in the new bushing for 20 bucks.

Go to FLORIDA, they have SHIT load of that pile of SHIT car.
That's an interesting way of compressing springs.

Just had the rear suspension arms replaced on my Octavia combi. Should the springs be replaced too when this work is carried out ?
It is not necessary to change the springs when replacing the levers.

Blurred logo? Are VW that touchy about it being shown?
Hi, what's the bush called on the hub end of wishbone please?
This is the rear lower control arm bushing.

Unfortunately, we do not have such information, we recommend that you consult with a mechanic at the service.

All my springs are same height, but definitely will sit higher on new springs. Check they are seated correctly in to the arm.
Is this the same process for a mrk 2 seat Leon 2012

Do a standard front sway bar replacement on a mk5 golf👍
Thank you for your comment! We will make sure to take note of that for our new videos! Best Regards, Autodoc Team
Good 👍👍👍
Can you do this without a lift safety
Hi! This work is recommended to be carried out only with the use of a lift.
The spring will go off like a grenade compressing it like that hah
Camber?

The midle bushing is blocked for majority of the cars :(
Y u blurr vw logos
It didn't show how to correct the camber of the wheels. If not correctly set, the tyres will wear unevenly.
